Gas work in a commercial kitchen has to be right the first time. Undersized piping starves burners during a rush, and a bad connection is a hazard for everyone in the building.
What we do
New lines
Piping for new or relocated equipment, sized for the total load on the line.
Equipment hookups
Commercial-rated flexible connectors, quick-disconnects, shutoffs and restraint cables.
Leak repair
Locating and repairing leaks, then testing before the gas goes back on.
Pressure problems
Burners that weaken when several appliances are on at once: regulators and pipe sizing.
Remodels and new equipment
If you're adding equipment, tell us the model numbers early. We check the gas input ratings against your existing piping and meter so the new fryer doesn't starve the range at 7 PM. Permits and inspections are handled as required by your city.
Smell gas? Leave the building and call your gas utility or 911 from outside. Don't operate switches or equipment. Call us for the repair once it's safe.
Flat-rate, approved first. We diagnose, tell you what failed and what it costs to fix, and start only after you approve the price. No surprise add-ons on the invoice.
Common questions
Are you licensed for gas work in Virginia?
Yes. Ace Mechanical's Virginia contractor license includes the gas fitting specialty, along with HVAC and commercial and home improvement classifications.
Why do my burners get weak when everything is on?
The gas line or regulator may be undersized for the total load, especially after equipment was added. We measure pressure under load to find out.
Do you pull permits?
Yes, when the work requires one. We'll tell you up front whether a permit and inspection are needed.
