How our pricing works
- $75 diagnostic, waived with the repair. For home service calls, the diagnostic visit is $75. Approve the repair and the $75 is waived, so you only pay for the fix.
- Flat-rate repair price. After diagnosing, we give you one price for the repair. It doesn't change if the job takes longer than expected.
- Your approval first. Nothing gets done until you say yes. If you decline, you only pay the diagnostic fee.
- Written quotes for bigger jobs. Replacements, remodels and Kitchen Care Plans get written quotes with options.
What we won't do
- Run an hourly clock while we look for parts
- Add charges to the invoice you didn't approve
- Push a new system when a repair makes more sense
- Scare you with worst-case talk to make a sale
Free estimates and free second opinions
Estimates on new heating and cooling equipment are always free. If another company has quoted you a big repair or a new system and you're not sure it's fair, we'll give you a free second opinion. See free second opinions.

Got a written quote from another licensed contractor for the same work and comparable equipment? Show it to us. We'll match or beat it, or explain honestly why the jobs aren't the same.
Common questions
Is there a charge to diagnose?
For home service calls, the diagnostic fee is $75, and it's waived when you approve the repair. You only pay for the repair itself. Commercial diagnostic rates are quoted when you call.
Do you charge for estimates on new equipment?
No. Estimates on new heating and cooling equipment are free, and so are second opinions on quotes you've received from other companies.
What if the repair costs more than you quoted?
It won't. The flat-rate price you approve is the price you pay for that repair. If we find a separate problem, we stop and quote it before doing anything.
Do you charge more after hours?
Emergency calls outside regular hours can carry an after-hours rate. You'll hear it on the phone before we dispatch.
Will you really match another quote?
If you have a written quote from a licensed Virginia contractor for the same scope of work and comparable equipment, show it to us. We'll match or beat it or tell you honestly why we can't.
