HVAC in Virginia Beach: what we see most
Attic air handlers and drain lines. A large share of Virginia Beach homes built from the 1970s through the 2000s, in neighborhoods like Kempsville, Green Run, Salem and Red Mill, have the air handler in the attic. When the condensate drain clogs, water ends up in the ceiling. A float switch and a yearly drain flush prevent most of those calls.
Salt air near the water. Homes in Sandbridge, Chesapeake Beach, Bayside and the North End lose outdoor coils faster than homes inland. Regular rinsing and coastal coil coatings on new equipment help.
