Restaurants along High Street and in Olde Towne often run in historic buildings where equipment has been added over the years. We check gas capacity before new equipment goes in and keep refrigeration, plumbing and HVAC working together.

Homes

Historic and older homes in Olde Towne, Port Norfolk and Park View may have boilers, limited attic space or older wiring. We work carefully in older houses and recommend systems that fit them, including ductless options where ductwork isn't practical.

HVAC in Portsmouth: historic homes and waterfront

Historic districts. In Olde Towne and Port Norfolk, equipment has to fit around original plaster, trim and small attics. We plan installs so they don't damage the house, and ductless systems are often the best fit.

Waterfront and flooding. Neighborhoods along the Elizabeth River and in Churchland near the water deal with salt air and occasional flooding. Raised outdoor units and regular coil cleaning protect the investment.

Older furnaces. Many Portsmouth homes still have gas furnaces 20 or more years old. A fall safety check is worth it, and so is an honest conversation about replacement before it fails in January.
